LyoLog

LyoLog terms of use and subscription

Version 1.0 · In force from 26 September 2026 Published at lyolog.app/terms

These terms are the contract between you and the operator of LyoLog. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. Please read them: section 8 (what LyoLog is, and what stays yours) and section 12 (liability) directly affect your rights.

1. Who we are

Operator Jan Panek
Tax identification number (NIF) Y2362080V
Address Rotonda de Versalles 23, 28512 Villar del Olmo, Madrid, Spain
Contact support@lyolog.app

LyoLog and Freeze-drying.tech are trading names of Jan Panek, a natural person. On Google Play the LyoLog app is published under the developer name Freeze-drying.tech.

2. What the Service is

LyoLog is a mobile application and cloud service for logging and optimising freeze-drying cycles: batches, tray weights, stages, recipes, costs, quality scores and product photographs. It works offline and syncs when a connection is available.

3. Who can use it

To create an account you must:

  • be 18 or over;
  • have the capacity to enter into a contract;
  • provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

If you subscribe on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to do so. In that case the contract is with the company and you are not a consumer.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity carried out from your account. Tell us immediately at support@lyolog.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not transfer or share your account.

5. Plans, prices and renewal

5.1 What each plan includes

Free plan — €0. No time limit. Includes:

  • 1 machine
  • 8 batches per calendar month
  • Full batch logging: stages, weights, photographs of product, trays and machines
  • Community recipes: view only

Pro plan — €2.99/month or €29/year. Includes everything in Free, plus:

  • Unlimited machines
  • Unlimited batches
  • Full analytics: cost per batch, cost per kilo of output, machine utilisation, weight loss by product, energy cost trend and amortisation progress per machine
  • Cost tracking and machine amortisation
  • Quality scoring
  • CSV export of your own data
  • Community recipes: full access and publishing
  • Shared workspace with one organisation administrator

Photographs are available on every plan, including Free.

5.2 Automatic renewal

The Pro subscription renews automatically for equal periods — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — and you are charged the price in force at the start of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.

The exact amount, the currency, the length of the period and the renewal date are shown to you before you confirm the purchase.

We may change prices. If we do, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and the change takes effect at the next renewal; you can cancel beforehand at no cost.

5.3 Promotional codes

We occasionally issue codes that activate the Pro plan for a set period, free of charge.

A promotional code is not a subscription: it does not renew, nothing is charged, and no payment method is required. When the period ends the account returns automatically to the Free plan and no charge arises.

6. Buying and cancelling

6.1 Pro subscriptions bought through an app store

When you buy Pro on Google Play, the seller is Google Commerce Limited, not us. Google charges you, invoices you, collects and remits the tax, and handles the payment. The same applies to Apple on the App Store.

As a result:

  • billing, refunds and the right of withdrawal for that purchase are governed by the store’s terms and are handled with the store;
  • we cannot grant or refuse a refund on a store purchase, because we are not the seller of that transaction;
  • refund requests must go to Google (or Apple) through their own channels;
  • we are responsible for the service itself: that it works, that it conforms, and for your data.

To cancel, at least 24 hours before the renewal date:

  • Google Play: Play Store → profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → LyoLog → Cancel.
  • App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → LyoLog → Cancel.

After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. Your account then reverts to the Free plan and your data is kept.

6.2 Direct sales

As at this version we sell nothing directly from lyolog.app. All subscriptions are bought through Google Play or the App Store.

7. Organisations and shared workspaces

LyoLog lets you share your work with an organisation.

Your records are yours. The batches and machines you record are attached to your account, not to the organisation. If the organisation closes or you leave it, they stay in your account exactly as before.

The organisation gets visibility, not ownership. An administrator of an organisation you belong to can see the batches you record if you have the visibility setting turned on. You can turn it off at any time, and the administrator can see whether it is on.

If you own an organisation with members, you must transfer or dissolve it before you can delete your account.

8. What LyoLog is, and what stays yours

Read this section. It defines what the app is for.

LyoLog is a logging and estimation tool. Drying times, costs and any other value the app calculates or suggests are indicative: they are derived from the data you enter and are not a validated process parameter or a technical recommendation.

You remain solely responsible for validating your own process, for the safety of the food you produce, and for complying with the rules that apply to you, including hygiene, traceability and labelling.

LyoLog is not a HACCP system, a GMP quality system, a medical or pharmaceutical product, or a validated record for regulatory audit. Records generated in LyoLog do not replace documentation you are required to keep.

9. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of third-party rights;
  • attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or extract the code, except to the extent mandatory law permits;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties without our authorisation;
  • introduce malicious code, or deliberately overload or degrade the infrastructure;
  • extract data in bulk or by automated means outside the export features provided.

We may suspend access for serious breach. Unless urgency or the law prevents it, we’ll warn you first and give you the chance to put it right.

10. Your content

The data you enter stays yours. Batches, recipes, costs and photographs: you keep ownership and all rights in them.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit and display that content solely to provide the Service to you and to make backups. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups, which are overwritten on their normal cycle.

We do not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models, or for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

For photographs you upload, you warrant that:

  • you have the right to upload them;
  • they contain no third-party personal data unless you have a lawful basis for processing it;
  • they contain no special categories of data under Article 9 GDPR.

We may remove manifestly unlawful content of which we have actual knowledge.

Shared recipes. If you publish a recipe in the community section, other users can see and use it. Publish only what you want to share; you can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect copies other users have already saved.

Export. You can download your data at any time from inside the app.

11. Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service continuously available but do not guarantee any particular level of availability.

We may carry out maintenance, update the app, and change or withdraw features. If we withdraw a significant feature from the Pro plan we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and you may cancel; any refund of the unused part is handled by the store that took the payment.

The Service is under continuous development. During closed testing, availability and data integrity are not guaranteed and test data may be reset; keep your own records.

12. Liability

This section distinguishes consumers from businesses. The one that applies to you governs.

12.1 If you are a consumer

We do not limit our liability in any way for death or personal injury, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or in any other case where the law prohibits it. You keep in full the rights given to you by the Spanish consumer protection act, including those relating to conformity of a digital service.

Outside those cases, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of: the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or €50.

We are not liable for lost profits, indirect or consequential loss, or loss arising from process decisions you take on the basis of the app’s estimates (section 8).

12.2 If you are a business or professional

We are not liable, in any circumstances, for lost profits, lost production, data loss attributable to your own failure to keep backups, reputational damage, or indirect or consequential loss of any kind.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to it.

These limits do not apply to wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury.

12.3 Your liability to us

You will hold us harmless against third-party claims arising from content you upload, from your use of the Service in breach of these terms, or from breach of the warranties in section 10.

13. Data protection

Processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Under the model described in section 7 — personally owned records, with visibility for the organisation — we act as controller in relation to each user. The organisation does not own its members’ records and decides for itself what it does with what it sees.

14. Term and termination

These terms apply for as long as you have an account.

You may terminate at any time by deleting your account: lyolog.app/delete-account. Cancel the subscription in the store first, because deleting the account does not cancel it. If you own an organisation with members, you must transfer or dissolve it first.

We may terminate on 30 days’ notice, or immediately for serious breach, unlawful use, or where the law requires it.

After termination you have 30 days to export your data before it is deleted, unless you asked for immediate deletion.

Sections 8, 10 (warranties), 12, 15 and 16 survive termination.

15. Changes to these terms

Each amendment produces a complete new version, identified by its number and date of entry into force. We do not publish amendment annexes.

We will notify substantial changes inside the app at least 30 days in advance and ask you to accept the new version. If you do not accept, you may cancel; if you continue using the Service after the date of entry into force, acceptance is taken to have been given.

We keep the full text of every published version and the record of your acceptance.

16. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Spanish law.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of the EU Member State where you are habitually resident, nor of the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that State.

You can send any complaint to support@lyolog.app; we aim to resolve it within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can go to the consumer bodies where you live. In Spain, the Juntas Arbitrales de Consumo or your regional consumer authority; if you live in another Member State, your national European Consumer Centre.

If you are a business or professional, the parties submit to the courts of Madrid, waiving any other jurisdiction.

17. General

Severability. If a clause is held void, the rest remains in force.

Assignment. You may not assign your contractual position without our consent. We may assign it on a transfer of the business, giving you prior notice; if you are a consumer, you may terminate at no cost.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Legal Notice, are the entire agreement between the parties.

Force majeure. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, for as long as they last.

18. Language versions

These terms are published in Spanish, English and European Portuguese, with identical substance. Each version has equal force for the user addressed in that language. Where a discrepancy is alleged before a Spanish court, the Spanish version prevails.
