Check your machine first

49 models are already set up in the app. Find yours below.

Running something else, or something you built? Set it up by hand in a minute and log it exactly the same way. Nothing about the record changes.

Not listed? Send the make and model to support@lyolog.app and we add it to the library.

LyoLog is a production logbook. It is not a validated system and it is not intended for GMP records.

Join in three steps

Use the same Google account for all three steps: the one your phone's Play Store is signed in to.

  1. Join the testers' group

Open the group signed in with the Google account on your phone, and tap the button to join. Being in the group is what gives you access to the test.

    Open the group
  2. Accept the invitation

On Google Play's testing page, choose to become a tester, with the same account as in step 1.

    Become a tester
  3. Install LyoLogabout 5 min

Wait about five minutes while Google Play registers you. Then open LyoLog on Google Play and install it. Test updates arrive on their own, like any other app.

    Open LyoLog on Google Play

Listing not found? Give Google Play a few more minutes. If it still isn't there, check that the Play Store is using the same account as the group. With two accounts on the phone, switch in the Play Store under your profile picture.

Why we ask you to stay 14 days

Google releases a new app from closed testing only after at least 12 testers have stayed in the test for 14 days in a row. If someone leaves early, the count starts again for everyone. Stay in, even if you only log one batch.

What we ask

  • Log at least one real batch, from loading the trays to weighing them out.
  • Stay in the test for 14 days.
  • Tell us what broke or didn't make sense: support@lyolog.app, or the feedback form in the app.

What you get

  • Batches you log now stay in your account after launch. Nothing to enter twice.
  • Updates arrive through Google Play by themselves.

Questions

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. The closed test is Android only.

Does it cost anything?

No. The test is free, and so is the app for one machine.

Who can see that I joined?

We can, as the owners of the group, and your Google account appears in our Play Console tester list. Other testers cannot see who else is in the group.

Can I leave?

Yes, any time: leave the group, or leave the program on the testing page from step 2. Your LyoLog account and records stay until you delete them.

What happens at launch?

The app you have becomes the public version through a normal Google Play update. Nothing to reinstall, nothing to enter twice.

On an iPhone? One email when it's on the App Store.

Controller: LyoLog. Used only for that one email and deleted once it is sent (24 months at most). Your rights, and withdrawing consent: support@lyolog.app. Privacy policy →

Know someone with a freeze dryer?

Send them this page. Operators who run other machines are the testers we need most.
